Disabling Chrome Auto-fill
If you are a Chrome browser user, you may have noticed the Autofill feature seems to be working in a much more robust manner. This is a result of a recent Chrome update.
While this can be a useful feature, it creates a risk of unintentionally populating data fields that are manually entered into Ovation. For this reason, we strongly recommend disabling the Chrome Autofill feature to maintain data integrity.
To disable Autofill in Chrome, please follow these steps:
- Click the 3 dots in the top right corner of your browser window, and select Settings from the dropdown menu
Tip: There will be a popup instead of dots if your browser is not up-to-date
- On the left side of the page select Autofill, then select Addresses and more
- Here you can toggle the blue icon to the off position
Tip: When the setting is turned off, the icon will be grey
That’s it! Autofill has now been turned off.
