Resetting Passwords

There are three ways to reset passwords depending on user type:

Reset your own password

1. Navigate to the login screen ( portal.labtests.io for Providers, Sales Reps, and Provider Contacts; lab.ovation.io for laboratory users)

2. Click “Don’t remember your password?”

3. Enter your email address and click “SEND EMAIL”

4. You will get a confirmation that we sent an email to reset your password

5. Open your email, click on the email link that says “click here” and enter your new password

6. Type in your new password and confirm in the second box, then click the green arrow button

When reset correctly, you will get a confirmation screen.  

Note: Password reset invitations may only be used once and expire after 72 hours.

Reset an Ovation password for Portal Users (Sales Reps or Provider Contacts)

Note: You must have the role of Admin or have a role that allows you to reset user passwords

For Sales Reps

1. Log into Ovation at lab.ovation.io

2. Click More > Business > Sales Reps

3. Find the Sales Rep’s name, click the three dots to the far right of their name and select “Reset portal password” 

For Provider Contacts

1. Log into Ovation at lab.ovation.io

2. Click More > Business > Provider Accounts

3. Click into the Provider Account

4. Click the Contacts tab

5. Find the Contact name, click the three dots to the far right of their name and select “Reset portal password”

Note: Portal users will be sent an email with a link that directs them to Portal.labtests.io where they can reset their passwords.

Reset an Ovation password for Ovation LIMS Users (Admins, Lab Techs, Medical Directors, etc. )

1. Log into Ovation at lab.ovation.io

2. Click More > Settings > Users & Permissions

3. Find the user’s name, click the three dots to the far right of their name and select “Reset Password Email”

Note: You may need to resend an Ovation email invitation if users have not set up their password within 72 hours. Invitations expire after 72 hours.
