OvDx Maintenance Updates February 23, 2025

We will update the service during our weekly maintenance window as described in our service update policy here. The update will include the following changes.

Improvements

  • [OVDX-11234] We enhanced the GenXys API integration to support sending sample identifiers in the barcode field (previously only the requisition ID could be sent). To enable this feature, submit a change request here.
  • [OVDX-11220] We modified the structure of testPanels.cs in the Integration Compendium. Now, the list will include all tests in all test panels (one record for each test panel-test pair rather than just one record for each test panel). A single record will still be included for test panels with no tests. We also added columns to describe the test. See the updated documentation here.
  • [OVDX-11149] We now allow portal users to add Supplemental Documents to an order after samples are received for that order. Lab staff will receive a notification when this occurs, if so configured. We also eliminated the need to Save the order after uploading Supplemental Documents. (This change was also made for when lab staff uploads Supplemental Documents.)

Fixes

  • [OVDX-11198] We removed the ability to create sample types (More > Lab > Sample Types) whose names have leading or trailing whitespace. Samples with such sample types could not then be queued to workflows.
